When developing the LynxDrive servo actuator, Harmonic Drive focused on precision, space optimisation, reliability and long service life. The new compact LynxDrive consists of an HFUC series high precision harmonic drive gearbox, an innovative AC servo motor with concentrated windings and an encoder system for measuring speed and position. The sinusoidal commutated AC servo motor exhibits an exceptionally smooth torque profile over a wide range of speeds. The LynxDrive servo actuators have a torque range up to 647 Nm and a speed range up to 220 rpm. The new LynxDrive is ideally suited for precise positioning applications in high performance machine tools and machining centers and in most areas of factory automation.

Genauigkeit, Optimierung des Bauraums, Zuverlässigkeit und hohe Lebensdauer waren die Hauptziele bei der Entwicklung des Servoantriebs LynxDrive. Der neue LynxDrive besteht aus einem hochpräzisen Harmonic Drive Getriebe der Baureihe HFUC, einem neu entwickelten AC-Servomotor mit konzentrierter Wicklung sowie einem Mess-System für die Drehzahl- und Lageerfassung. Der sinus-kommutierte AC-Servomotor besitzt über einen weiten Drehzahlbereich einen gleichförmigen Drehmomentverlauf. Der Servoantrieb LynxDrive deckt einen Drehmomentenbereich bis 647Nm ab und erlaubt Abtriebsdrehzahlen bis zu 220rpm. Ideal geeignet ist der neue LynxDrive für Positionieranwendungen in Werkzeugmaschinen sowie in nahezu allen Bereichen der Fertigungsautomation.
